Rev. Abraham Kalapala: Life and Ministry
Rev. Abraham Kalapala was born to Christian parents, Mr. Isaac and Mrs. Santhoshamma. Though raised in a Christian home, he initially led a nominal life and became involved in communist movements during the 1970s in Vijayawada. Despite his activism, he felt a deep spiritual emptiness.
In 1982, after attending a Gospel meeting, Rev. Abraham was convicted by Genesis 3:9 and repented, accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior. This transformation marked a turning point in his life. He left his communist pursuits and devoted himself to prayer, scripture, and sharing the Gospel.
In 1993, Rev. Abraham resigned from his government job to establish Christ for the Lost in India, a ministry focused on evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and holistic care, , efforts across Andhra Pradesh. With his wife, Nirmala Kumari, and their four children, he worked tirelessly to spread the love of Christ.
Until his last breath on March 10, 2020, Rev. Abraham remained committed to his mission, leaving behind a legacy of faith and service.
Leadership
Rev.Isaac Kalapala is the President of Christ for the Lost - India, a ministry dedicated to evangelism, discipleship, and church planting in rural and tribal regions of India. Actively serving since 2008, he continues the legacy of his father, Rev. Dr. Abraham Kalapala, by equipping pastors, leading Bible training programs, and transforming lives through the Gospel.

Rev.Isaac has completed his theological studies, including a Master’s degree. He is blessed with a loving family who supports his vision and shares in his commitment to advancing God’s Kingdom. Passionate about raising leaders and strengthening the Church, Pastor Isaac strives to fulfill the Great Commission with dedication and faith
His family has been a constant source of strength and encouragement in this mission. Together, they share a vision of bringing hope and transformation to the most vulnerable and overlooked people. They believe that the love of Christ is powerful enough to change lives and uplift entire communities, and it is their joy to be part of this life-changing work.
